Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport

August 2022 - October 2022

This project consisted of the demolition and dismantling of a ambulance bay in order to make way for a new state of the art design. The client on this project was Tilbury Douglas, it consisted of dismantling an aluminium frame supported by steel purlins. Once dismantled the metal was recycled an we moved in with an 8 ton tracked excavator. In order to complete the demolition safely the apex was reduced first exposing the internal concrete pour allowing the excavator to peck the wall down. This process was repeated on the opposite side.

Deansway DIY, Moston - EMERGENCY CALL OUT

August 2022 - May 2023

Stockport Demolition were called out by GMP and GMFR after arsonists had attacked a redundant former cinema turned DIY store in the early hours of the morning. The fire blazed through the building leaving the structure unsafe via the use of 3x excavators Stockport Demolition were able to work with GMFS to fight the blaze and then demolish what remained of the unsafe structure to the ground.

Edinburgh Close, Cheadle

February 2023 - July 2023

This is another project recently completed by Stockport Demolition on behalf of Stockport Homes. This former assisted living centre had become outdate and not fit for purpose. We stripped out 33 apartments including the asbestos materials inside and demolished the site leaving it clear for the council to build a state of the art facility for assisted living.

St.Thomas Hospital, Stockport

May 2023 - September 2023

St. Thomas's Hospital was an abandoned Victorian hospital in Edgeley, Stockport. This project saw us demolish three of the disused crumbling buildings on site leaving the site clear and level ready for the new houses being erected by Stockport Homes. On this project we worked closely with the English Heritage working to save as many salvageable materials as possible including the hand made bricks, slates and vents.

Lambert House, Cheadle

April 2023 - July 2023

On this project we were called in to strip out the former AA offices for refurbishment. The redundant offices were left empty and acquired by Empire Property Group. Stockport Demolition gutted the building back to shell leaving a clean and tidy building ready for new homes.
